After receiving a BFA in painting I worked in oils and other mediums for many years. However for the past thirty years doing custom designed stained glass has been my focus. I have exhibited and sold my work in various galleries and shops throughout Maine. I am a member of the Maine Crafts Association and Southern Maine Craftsmen.
All work is custom designed and constructed using the copper foil technique. I prefer the finer line and increased detail achieved with this method. Designs can be quite intricate with inspiration coming from my gardens, birds, wildlife, the sea, and natural landscapes where I live.
Much of my glass work is done through private commission. I work closely with my clients and visit the site as necessary to integrate the work with its surrounding. My stained glass has been used to create one of a kind special architectural details for window, door, or cabinet panels. I also do screens, room divides, lamps, mirrors, sculptures, and free hanging panels and mobiles.
Often antique wood details, stone, sea glass, and found objects are incorporated into my unique designs. Stained glass captures light and color as no other medium can and will add a special dimension to any home or office.
Studio visits are welcome by appointment and full portfolios are available for architectural and design firms.
